When i first saw this gecko i was amazed by its color. Their colors are so vibrant and not like any other color nature. Here is a brief description on these tiny little animals. The Tokay Gecko is the second largest gecko species measuring 30–40cm (11–15 inches) for males, and 20–30cm (7–11 inches) for females, with weights of 150–300g (5–10 oz).
Its habitat ranges from northeast India and Bangladesh, throughout Southeast Asia, to Indonesia and western New Guinea and lives on rain forest trees and cliffs. These lizards are distinctive in appearance, sporting a bluish to gray body with either yellow or red spots. Males seem to have brighter in color. They are have large eyes with vertical slit pupil.
They are solitary animals and mainly meet only during mating season. Females lay one two eggs and stay with the eggs until they hatch. They mainly feed on insects and small vertebrates.
One interesting fact about these geckos is that they are considered the pit bulls of the gecko world. When they bite their owners and won't let go for a couple of hours. They cannot be removed or forced to let go without causing them damage. The best way to get them to let go is to submerge them under water until they let go without causing them harm.
