I'll start off my first telling you a bit about myself. Well, I live in Canada and its really cold. I've been living here for years and i just can't get used to it. Ok, now that you know that i don't like the cold, ill tell you what i do like.

I consider myself to be a very passionate person, and its one of the reasons why i created this website. I love to draw and its my passion, its what i enjoy doing more than anything. Its something that allows me to get away from everything else. If you haven't noticed yet, my medium of choice is pencil.

Why pencil? I have always been fascinated with black and white photography. I love the contrasts of darks and lights and how we are able to see everything we know with a different perspective. We are used to seeing our world in color and because of the monotony of seeing the same thing, we lose interest in observing it. Pencil allows me to show the viewer a subject that can be observed without the distraction of everyday colors. It lets them fill in the colors in their heads and it gives them the opportunity to observe it with detail.

I'm a big fan of detail and i strive to add as much detail as possible, but still keep the feel and look of a pencil drawing. In the years that i have been drawing i have been able to develop a technique that makes my drawings unique of other drawings out there.

what is eyesait(pronounced 'eyesight')?. The idea came about after i worked on a tutorial that i post on my other website. Its a tutorial on how to draw the human eye. I explained that we rarely pay attention to the details around us. This includes our eyes, we have them but we don't actually know what they are. When was the last time you actually looked at your eyes closely in the mirror and appreciated the beauty that they are. They are one of the most delicate and beautiful parts in out bodies. Not only because of their functionality and usefulness, but because of their intricate designs and pattern that they have. Not one eye is the same.

On this website i want to create the largest collection of eye drawings on the web. Drawings will include human eyes, people eyes and eyes that show emotion. This will be a long term project because there are thousands of animals and I'm only one artist. I will make them as detailed as possible so that the online can see how i see them.

I want to include the online community as well by allowing them to submit original articles that are relevant to the eye drawing. Articles can include personal experiences with the animal, information that is missing that can add more richness to the article. I will write as much as i know for each animal, but i know there are people out there that are much more knowledgeable with each animal. Each piece of article will be credited with your name/website or any other information that you'd like to use. Hopefully this can become a group project with a personal touch from people around the world. Well if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
